Description: Raised in February on the North Atlantic, this Douglas Fir frame went up during the one week of beautiful weather that month. The elegant curves and contemporary finials, demonstrate the vast possibilities of timber framing.
This graceful frame, designed by Beyer, Blinder, Belle Architects of NYC, features beaded edges, hand-forged tie rods, and a timber framed landing system leading to a widow's walk on the roof of the house. To achieve a feeling of lightness, the timbers were white washed.
