2009 Woodworks Award AIANC Awards

For its work on the St. Joseph Adoration Chapel on the campus of Belmont Abbey College in North Carolina Lancaster County Timber Frames, Inc., along with WGM Design, Inc., was honored with the Woodworks Award.

This award acknowledges well-designed wood based solutions that exhibit creativity in innovative commercial structures that push the boundaries of conventional practice.

LCTF in Manhattan

During the first week of October we will be installing some of our work at 15 Central Park West. This building is home to Norman Lear, Alex Rodriguez, Sting, Jeff Gordon, Madonna, and Denzel Washington, among many other glitterati.

New Contracts

Also this past week, Lancaster County Timber Frames contracted for two new projects. One is a carriage house in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The other is part of an open-air dining area for the John Wright Restaurant and Store in Wrightsville, Pennsylvania, right down the road from our shop!

Timber Frame raising in Carlisle, PA

Last week Lancaster County Timber Frames raised a timber frame for a home on a soon-to-be alpaca farm in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.

Maryland Interstate Project

This past week Lancaster County Timber Frames completed the timber frame raising for the east-bound side of the I-70 Welcome Center in Frederick County, Maryland. On the 14th of September raising will commence on the west-bound side of the I-70 Welcome Center.
